Faith leaders across the country are encouraging Christians to pray for President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris. An overwhelming majority of evangelicals supported President Trump, and many oppose the new president's liberal policies. Yet many say they will pray for Biden as scripture commands in 1 Timothy 2:1-2, which says, "First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for everyone, for kings and all those who are in authority, so that we may lead a tranquil and quiet life in all godliness and dignity."
